Italian Design Auction @Piasa

The upcoming design auction by Piasa Paris will celebrate Italian masters of the 20th-century.

264 lots are presented for this new auction on March 25th, with a more specific look at the period from 1940 to 1970. The selection embraces all types of household objects with a wide choice of seats, tables, lights, storage furniture, tableware ... signed by the great figures of the time: Franco Albini, Osvaldo Borsani, Paolo Buffa, Gio Ponti, Carlo Scarpa, Ico Parisi, Gino Sarfati, Ettore Sottsass

I am pleased to see reasonable entry prices so new comers in the design collection market will be able to purchase original creations by great names.

The full list is available here and you can even download the catalogue here.

Discover below my personal selection. I also have considered a broad range of estimates to encourage everyone to purchase good design. It was hard for me not to select all the pieces by Gio Ponti, as I am an unconditional fan.

As usual, I am choosing the creations according to my own taste, trying to find a selection of bidding prices and I have no commercial ties with the auction house.
